A little bit about me

I graduated in 2000 with a BA Hons in Fine Art from Cleveland College of Art and Design and during this time spent a term studying in Tilburg in The Netherlands.

I moved to Manchester to complete and MA in Art as Environment and then never left.

I have loved life drawing since my sixth form and have taught it to adults at Start in Salford and continue to go when ever I can. I still believe it’s the best way to learn how to draw anything.

I work part time as Head of Art at Abbey College in Manchester, and run workshops and lead school visits at the People’s History Museum in Manchester.

I have always loved strong monochrome imagery and have worked in pencil, paint and stencils and spray paint for a while.

I have recently come back to print making, as juggling a young family and making art doesn’t always work together, but I find print making can be picked up and put down and can give me the creative freedom I need.

I am lucky enough to have a studio in my home, so I can work looking over a beautiful park in Stockport, I am currently working on new prints and, commissions as well as producing work for various exhibitions-
